[Wlug] Fedora 9

I have just 'upgraded' to Fedora Core 9 and seem to be having some 
issues opening some of the apps.  Some apps say that they're starting 
and then just quit without any indication as to what is going on.
yumex returns an error message:

Does anyone know what's up?
