Chuck,

I've gotten the Exchange connector (formerly, or maybe still, known as
the Ximian Connector) working intermittently at a previous company,
but it was really flaky (hangs, runaway processes, etc).  When I tried
to find solutions to the problems I was having, it seemed that it was
no longer under active development.  Here are a few things to try:
-be sure your version of Exchange is compatible with the connector
-stick to webmail
-run Outlook through Crossover Office (http://www.codeweavers.com/)
-check or beg for Exchange IMAP connectivity
