My PC doesn't have BlueTooth.  I'm using a USB cable to do the
connection.

This is a personal phone, so the costs actually matter to me.  :)

Oh-- Andy- My AP is a LinkSys/Cisco WAP54G.  It's got this via SNMP:

     # snmpget -v 2c -c snmp_password_here 10.80.50.4 sysDescr.0
      SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0 = STRING: Linux (none) 2.4.20 mips
