[Wlug] hardware problem?

No, nothing comes onto the screen until, in windows, my desktop appears, 
and in linux, didn't see lilo, I had to log in in the dark and call up 
an x session, and that comes up fine. I didn't try booting a clean dos 
disk, but I suspect I'll see nothing.
